Our Role
Center for Social Innovation and Impact (CSII) , a not-for-profit organization, uses applied art forms to inform and inspire inclusive decision-making, experimentation, innovation and evaluation.
We collaborate with communities, NGOs, government bodies, and other organizations/collectives to co-design projects through a participatory approach that actively involves stakeholders.
Drawing a parallel to prototyping, we recognised the need for communities to have a space where they could rehearse, interpret issues, experiment with multiple solutions, and strategise for their futures. This realization led us to fine-tuning our approach—we became facilitators of dialogues on social change and inspirers of social innovations through applied art forms.
How we work
1. Collaborative Convergence :
We team up with communities, organisations and governments, to facilitate the adoption, development and convergence of existing social action projects.
2. Co-Creation with Communities:
Working directly with communities, we facilitate the strategising and design of social action projects.
3. Impact Assessment with Art:
Using applied art forms, we involve the community in impact assessment processes.
4. Workshops on Applied Art Forms:
We conduct workshops for those interested in exploring applied art forms personally or professionally.
5. Research:
As an organisation, we systematically research and publish insights on the integration of applied art forms in innovation strategies and impact assessments, providing scholarly inputs about the transformative potential and nuanced dimensions of this interdisciplinary approach.
